Hope 2

Adapted from Inspirations Volume 2 It was narrated that in the days of Musa Alayhis Salaam, he wandered with the Bani Israeel in the desert when a bad drought fell upon them. Together, they all raised their hands to the heavens asking for rain. Then, to their astonishment, a few clouds that had gathered in the sky...suddenly vanished, the heat scorched down, and the drought intensified! It was revealed to Musa Alayhis Salaam that there was a sinner amongst them that had disobeyed Allah for more than 40 years of his life. " Let him separate himself from the congregation." Allah told Musa Alayhis Salaam. " Only then shall I shower you all with rain." Musa Alayhis Salaam called out to everyone informing them of this. Theguilty man waited, looking left and right, hoping that someone else would step forward...but no one did. Sweat poured from his brow and he knew he was the one. If he stayed amongst the congregation all would die of thirst, yet if he stepped forward he would be humiliated for eternity. He raised his hands with sincerity that he had never known before, with humility he had never tasted, tears poured on both cheeks, " Oh Allah, have mercy on me! Oh Allah, hide my sins! Oh Allah, forgive me!" All of a sudden the clouds hugged thesky and the rain poured! Musa Alayhis Salaam asked Allah Ta'ala: " Oh Allah, you blessed us with rain even though that sinner did not come forward?" And Allah replied, " Oh Musa, it is for the repentance of that very person that I blessed all of Bani Israeel with water." Musa Alayhis Salaam wanted to know who this blessed individual was, and Allah replied " Oh Musa, I hid his sins for 40 years. Do you thinkthat after his repentance I shall expose him?" My dear beloved brothers and sisters. This ties in perfectly with the topic we are discussing. How many times are we of the opinion that our sins are too much? Or in this case we findthat we are not getting out of some or the other difficulty. Sometimes it is our marriage, sometimes it is our careers, sometimes it is school, sometimes it is our children, sometimes it is our health...problemsafter problems fall on us like chilli powder falls on a pineapple(bad example but I ate that just now). Nevertheless, this story teaches us something...no matter our sin, whether it was the oondoo danda we did in campus, whether it was the masti on the internet, whether it was the abuse of the laws of Allah-we simply need to turn to Allah with deep and heartfelt Dua for repentance(note-the rights of others we have to ask for Maaf from them or fulfill their dues). But let us try this...tonight, or after every Salaah from now on, let us ask Allah for forgiveness...beg Him. Who else can forgive us? Challenge accepted? When all doors seem closed, and we feel utterly opposed, beg Allah for forgiveness, and see your life being filled with bliss! REQUEST FOR DUAS FOR THE FOLLOWING: *. All those awaiting results *. All those brothers seeking employment, may Allah Ta'Ala grant them Halaal income and make them assets to the Muslim Ummah *. All those who are sick *. Palestine, Chechnya, Bosnia, Pakistan, or wherever the Muslim Ummah is suffering *. All those who have passed away *. Good pious wives/husbands and children who are the coolness of our eyes *. ME *. All those getting married

Hadeeth Newsflash

Reported by Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah, the Exalted, says: `I will contend on the Day of Resurrection against three (types of) people: One who makes a covenant in My Name and then breaks it; one who sells a free man as a slave and devours his price; and one who hires a workman and having taken full work from him, does not pay him his wages.'''
